Acne can make your life truly miserable, and it is so difficult to cure. With all acne cleansers, creams, treatments and solutions it still persists on your skin. But to prevent is easier than to cure. Acne prevention is possible; by following the steps in this article you can make sure that acne doesn't spoil your face.

1. Using facial cleanser regularly prevents acne

First and most important is cleansing your face. Acne appears because your pores are clogged with oil and dust. So washing is required, but simple washing wouldn't do the trick. Soap doesn't help to clear excessive oil from your face. Actually using soap too often can only increase the oil production.

What you need is a special cleanser that would get rid of oil from your face, preventing acne from appearing. Salicylic acid does that very nicely. A facial cleanser that contains 2 percent of salicylic acid can prevent acne. Not only it will remove oil and bacteria, but it will also clean your skin from dead sells, dust and other residue that can clog pores and cause acne. Salicylic acid is used to cure acne as well as prevent it. For acne prevention you don't have to use it daily, 2-3 times a week is enough.

2. Use facial scrubs for preventing acne

Using gentle facial scrub on a regular basis is also important to prevent acne. Exfoliation helps to get rid of dead sells from the surface of your face. First your skin will look brighter after using a scrub; second dead sells will not be there to clog your pores.

3. Use benzoyl peroxide to fight acne

Another way to prevent acne is to use a benzoyl peroxide based solution. Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat acne and acne scars; it is it great for preventing acne as well. Use a 5 percent solution about once a week. You can use it in addition to salicylic acid.

4. Moisturize your skin

One thing you should remember is that all acne prevention cleansers dry your skin and leave it sensitive to harmful UV rays. So after using a cleanser you need to use a good sun block cream. It will moisturize your skin as well as protect it from the sun.

Balanced diet is essential for preventing acne. Several studies have shown that vitamin deficiency can lead to acne breakouts. So eat your fruits and veggies and take a multivitamin every day. Also to keep your skin clean and bright, cut down on the sugar. That means less soda, cookies, chocolate and other sweets.

Follow these simple acne prevention measures and you will never have to search for acne cure, you will not need it.
